3. Product Use and Safety Disclaimer
3.1 Street Use Only — Motorsport Prohibition
Carbotech 1521™ / Advantage HD compound products are designed and intended for STREET USE ONLY.
THESE PRODUCTS ARE NOT DESIGNED, TESTED, OR APPROVED FOR USE IN MOTORSPORT EVENTS, TRACK DAYS, COMPETITIVE RACING, OR ANY HIGH-PERFORMANCE OR CLOSED-COURSE DRIVING APPLICATION. USE OF THESE PRODUCTS IN SUCH ENVIRONMENTS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND DONE ENTIRELY AT THE USER’S OWN RISK.
Carbotech 1521™ / Advantage HD compounds are engineered for everyday street conditions and do not provide the thermal performance required for sustained high-speed or repeated hard braking typical of motorsport use. Such use may result in:
- Severely reduced or complete loss of braking performance;
- Premature or accelerated product wear;
- Product failure, brake fade, or brake system damage;
- Serious personal injury or death.
CARBOTECH EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR LOSS OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM THE USE OF CARBOTECH 1521™ / ADVANTAGE HD PRODUCTS IN ANY MOTORSPORT, TRACK, OR RACING APPLICATION. BY PURCHASING THESE PRODUCTS, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY ARE FOR STREET USE ONLY AND THAT CARBOTECH IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENCE RESULTING FROM USE OUTSIDE OF NORMAL STREET DRIVING CONDITIONS.
3.2 Motorsport Warning
Carbotech™ Performance Brakes AX™ and XP™ products (sold separately via ctbrakes.com) are for use ONLY IN HIGH PERFORMANCE AND MOTORSPORT EVENTS. Motorsport is inherently dangerous. No warranty or representation is made as to any product’s ability to protect the user from injury or death. The user assumes all risk.
3.3 Installation Responsibility
Proper installation of brake products requires professional mechanical knowledge and appropriate tools. Carbotech strongly recommends that all products be installed by a qualified automotive technician. Improper installation may void any applicable warranty and can create serious safety hazards.
4. Product Fitment and Compatibility
4.1 Vehicle Fitment
The vehicle fitment selector on this Site (Year → Make → Model → Brake Pad Type) is provided as a guide only. While Carbotech makes every effort to ensure fitment accuracy, it is the buyer’s responsibility to verify that the selected product is correct for their specific vehicle, trim, and braking system configuration before placing an order.
4.2 Fitment Errors
If you receive a product that does not fit your vehicle due to an error in our fitment data, please contact us at info@carbotechadvantage.com prior to installation. Installed products cannot be returned.
5. Pricing, Fees, and Taxes
5.1 Product Pricing
All prices displayed on this Site are in U.S. Dollars (USD) and are subject to change without prior notice. Current prices displayed at the time of checkout supersede all previously published prices.
Carbotech reserves the right to correct any pricing errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time — including after an order has been submitted — and to cancel or refuse any orders placed at an incorrect price.
5.2 Platform / Handling Fee
A platform fee (also referred to as a handling or processing fee, as displayed at checkout) is applied to each order to cover order processing, packaging preparation, and platform operating costs. This fee is:
- Displayed clearly at checkout before you confirm your order;
- Non-refundable, except in cases where the error in order fulfillment is solely attributable to Carbotech;
- Subject to change at Carbotech’s discretion.
By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the platform fee as shown at checkout.
5.3 Sales Tax
Applicable sales tax will be calculated and added to your order at checkout based on your shipping destination and applicable state and local tax laws. Tax rates are determined by your delivery address and may vary by state, county, or municipality.
- Sales tax is collected where Carbotech has nexus or is required to collect by applicable law.
- The final tax amount will be shown on your order confirmation.
- Sales tax is non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
5.4 Shipping and Handling
Shipping and handling charges are calculated at checkout based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of your order. All shipping rates are subject to change without notice.
All orders ship FOB (Free on Board) place of shipment — meaning title and risk of loss transfer to you upon delivery of the product to the carrier. Carbotech is not responsible for loss, damage, or delays caused by the carrier after shipment.

6. Order Processing and Acceptance
6.1 Order Confirmation
Placing an order on this Site constitutes an offer to purchase. Your order is not confirmed until you receive an order confirmation email from Carbotech. Carbotech reserves the right to refuse, limit, or cancel any order at its sole discretion, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Product unavailability or backorder status;
- Pricing or description errors;
- Suspected fraudulent activity.
6.2 Backorders
Backorders do occur. Products on backorder will be shipped as soon as they become available. Carbotech will notify you by email if your order includes a backordered item.
6.3 Order Modifications and Cancellations
Once an order has been submitted, modifications or cancellations may not be possible if the order has already been processed or shipped. Please contact info@carbotechadvantage.com as soon as possible if you need to make changes.
7. Payment
Payment is processed securely through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By providing your payment information, you authorize Carbotech to charge the total amount shown at checkout, including product price, platform fee, applicable taxes, and shipping charges.
Carbotech does not store your full credit card details. All payment data is handled in accordance with Stripe’s Privacy Policy and PCI-DSS compliance standards.
8. Returns and Refunds
You may return most new and uninstalled products within 30 days of the shipment date, subject to the following conditions:
- A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be obtained from Carbotech prior to returning any product. Products returned without an RMA will not be accepted.
- Products must be returned within 30 days of receiving your RMA.
- Installed or used products cannot be returned.
- Products purchased from a reseller are not eligible for return through this Site.
- A 20% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.
- Shipping, handling, delivery fees, and platform fees are non-refundable, except in cases where Carbotech shipped the wrong product.
- You are responsible for the product until Carbotech receives and inspects the return.

9. Warranty Disclaimer
CARBOTECH 1521™ / ADVANTAGE HD PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS.”
CARBOTECH DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OTHER THAN THOSE WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY AND INCAPABLE OF EXCLUSION, RESTRICTION, OR MODIFICATION UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
CARBOTECH IS NOT LIABLE FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, LOSS OF USE, INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS, LOST PROFITS, OR ANY OTHER CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, HOWEVER CAUSED — WHETHER FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE — OTHER THAN THOSE DAMAGES THAT ARE INCAPABLE OF LIMITATION, EXCLUSION, OR RESTRICTION UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
THIS AGREEMENT GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON THE DURATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

10. Core Charges
Some pad shapes may require a non-refundable core charge. If applicable, this charge will be disclosed at or before the time of purchase. Contact us at info@carbotechadvantage.com to determine whether your application requires a core charge.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — including text, images, logos, product descriptions, graphics, and software — is the property of Carbotech Performance Brakes and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this Site without prior written permission from Carbotech.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Carbotech’s total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of this Site or purchase of products shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.
In no event shall Carbotech be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of this Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.

Your use of this Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Site, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
